What to Expect

Switching to a new chiropractor, or seeing one for the first time can seem like a lot. Your initial appointment consists of some brief initial paperwork, a history with the Chiropractor to determine and assess the state of your injury or problem, and an exam to evaluate your area of complaint.

Once you are brought back to a treatment room for the history, exam, and treatment you are with the Chiropractor for the entire appointment.  Much of the administrative paperwork, including scheduling and billing, can be completed online to reduce your time in the office and your wait time. I want to streamline and make the process as straightforward as possible so I can spend more time on what's important, determining what's causing your pain or inhibiting your function, and treating that issue.

Treatment Space

We believe your care should be a private matter. No open adjusting bays or assembly line approach to patient care. Just 1:1 time with the provider.

Evidence based care

Your treatment plan will be based on your presentation. Your issue is unique and requires an individualized treatment plan based on your diagnosis. During your initial visit, you can anticipate a thorough assessment of your health and wellness needs. Your Chiropractic appointment begins with a detailed discussion about your medical history, current symptoms, and any specific concerns you may have.

Next is a comprehensive physical examination with the Chiropractor, where we evaluate your range of motion, location of pain, spinal motion, and your soft tissues such as ligaments, muscles, and tendons. We may do active movements in the office that you may have trouble with such as squatting, pressing, lifting, etc.

Lastly is treatment. Through mobilizations and Chiropractic adjustment, we alleviate discomfort, improve joint function, and enhance your overall mobility. These hands-on techniques are designed to target areas of tension or decreased motion.

Evidence-based research drives my treatment protocols. Injuries are assessed and treated according to the symptoms present and the outcomes of the various orthopedic tests in the physical exam. If needed, imaging and lab testing are ordered and completed in the area. We often send patients to Mercy Hospital, Barnes-Jewish Hospital, or occasionally Metro Imaging.

If a specialist referral is needed, I will work closely with your primary care team to determine the best course of action.
